TO THE CHURCH OF LAODICEA
This sermon explores the sobering and urgent message of Book of Revelation 3:14–22, where the risen Jesus Christ addresses the church in Laodicea. Known for its wealth and self-sufficiency, Laodicea received one of the strongest rebukes in Scripture: “Because you are lukewarm… I will spit you out of My mouth.”
“To the Church of Laodicea” examines the danger of spiritual complacency—when comfort replaces conviction, prosperity replaces dependence on God, and outward success hides inward poverty. This message confronts the subtle drift toward lukewarm faith and calls believers to renewed passion, humility, and wholehearted devotion.
Yet even in rebuke, Christ offers hope. He stands at the door and knocks, inviting repentance, restored fellowship, and true riches that only He can give. This sermon challenges the church to move from indifference to intimacy, from self-reliance to surrender, and from lukewarm faith to a life fully set on fire for God.
